|Contributor:||NatResWales||Activity Type:||Walking||Difficulty:||Easy||Distance:||1.559 mi (2.508 km)|
|Description:||The Ystwyth Valley is a perfect place to visit if you are looking for stunning scenery and a walk to suit the whole family . The Black Covert Forest is a small tranquil woodland with Ash, Birch and Sweet Chestnut trees surrounding a picnic site.
The Riverside Walk provides a gentle stroll alongside the tranquil River Ystwyth as it bubbles along through the wood. Look out for a flash of blue as the kingfishers dart up and down the river in search of food. River paddling is a fun activity in the warmer summer months and this river is ideal for this. Of course it is always important to be aware that rivers can be dangerous places and children should always be accompanied by an adult.
