|Description:||This is a lovely walk, starting at devil's Dyke (a 20min bus ride from the centre of Brighton) and finishing in the historic town of Lewes (famous for its bonfire night celebrations!). On the way it passes over Ditchling Beacon where, on a clear day, you can get a spectacular view of the farmland north of the South Downs and is a perfect place to stop for lunch! It also encorporates part of the South Downs Way.
The first time I did this walk was back in January 2010 during the period of heavy snow, which though slowed us down (knee-deep drifts) made it even more fun. I'd recommend it to everyone whatever the weather!
