|Trail:||Malham Cove and Gordale Scar - Outdoor Photography - July 2011|
|Contributor:||OutdoorPhotography||Activity Type:||Hiking||Difficulty:||Hard||Distance:||6.09 mi (9.801 km)|
|Description:||From Malham, cross the beck then head south first then east, through meadows, to Janet's Foss, set in some lovely woodland. Come out onto the road, turn right and enter the jaws of Gordale Scar. Scramble up the waterfall and climb steeply out of the gorge. Follow the path north, turning left at the road junction and at the outflow from Malham Tarn turn left, for Malham Cove. Pass through the dry valley of Watlowes before arriving spectacularly at the top of Malham Cove. Descend to the right and return to Malham. One of the best walks in the country!
