Description: Alyn Waters country park is an oasis of calm with its flower rich meadows, skylarks and beautiful scenery. It's a perfect location to bring the family to learn about nature and seek out the hidden sculptures that can be found along the various accessible paths. There is also a green gym walk. It is the largest country park in Wrexham and lies on both sides of the River Alyn. On the Gwersyllt side there is a visitor centre with a café, trim trail and picnic area. On the Llay side of the park there is a children's playground, football pitch, golf driving range and a Local Nature Reserve.

The colour coded walks suit different interests and abilities and you can take a short stroll to the River Alyn or follow the riverside walks to observe the wildlife. The longer circular walks combine stunning views of the park and river. The flower rich meadows are home to the skylarks and they can often be seen twisting through the sky with their unmistakable bird song. Look out for a brief flash of blue as the kingfishers search for food along the riverbank.

Walk distance: This walk is a combination of three walks, the Blue, Red and Purple Trails to make a 1 1/2 mile walk.

Terrain: This circular walk is suitable for all the family including wheelchair users and families with buggies. one section of the Purple Trail is on grass.
