Trail: TR AprMay 2016 Clwydian 15 (0)
Contributor: markroberts Activity Type: Trail Running Difficulty: Hard Distance: 15.104 mi (24.308 km)
Description: This is a wonderful 15-mile route taking in the quieter (but no less spectacular) northern hills of the range. You will encounter some of the best sections of Offa's Dyke Path, climb two impressive Iron Age hill forts and enjoy some really varied trail and fell terrain. If you are feeling the heat, ignore the third loop and, after coming down off Moel Arthur, bear left to complete loop one. This run is on the route used for the Clwydian 15 race, which takes place every September, in conjunction with its big sister, the Clwydian 30.
