|Description:||Coed y Brenin Forest Park offers the ideal family day out with scenic trails in a dramatic woodland setting.
The Cefndeuddwr Trail is a particularly lovely trail to enjoy together at this time of the year. This is a gently rising easy walk through mixed woodland and boulder fields on wide well surfaced paths leading to the Cefndeuddwr viewpoint and picnic tables. There are no steps or stiles and there are resting places every 150m. The trail is designed for family use, with a gradual climb to a viewpoint overlooking the mountain of Y Garn.
The route starts from the visitor centre and wends its way through a mixed beech wood which is carpeted in bluebells in the late spring.
Reward yourselves at the end of your adventure at the Forest Café situated in the award winning visitor centre and serving a wide range of delicious locally sourced home made food and drinks.
In addition to a gift and craft shop, the visitor centre has three play areas nearby, if the kids still have energy to burn, including a wild play space for den building and dam construction.
