|Description:||A long 2 day route to cover the six Ben Alder Munro`s. Cycle from Dalwhinnie train station to Culra Bothy at NN 52075 76082, leavethe bikes and double back over the bridge and follow the footpath towards Ben Alder. At approx NN 51578 74479 turn of the track and head for the ridge, the ridge looks harder than it is! Work your way over the ridge with some scrambling, not overly difficult and come out on the summit platue. Gentle walk over some rocky ground to the summit. From the summit follow the ridge line down to the Bealach and continue up onto Beinn Bheoil which is quite straightforward. From the summit double back to the bealach and head down through the boggy ground to Ben Alder cottage for a good nights sleep! Beware of the ghost.
Next morning, pick up the stalkers path from the cottage and follow it till NN 46917 72031 where you turn off and head for Beinn Eibhinn, quite a steep pathless climb but once on the ridge its a simple walk to the summit. From the summit simply double back and follow the ridge to pick off the other 3 munro`s From the final summit simply head down to Culra bothy and pick up the bikes and cycle out with the option of detouring round loch Pattack. A hard walk on some pathless terrain but an excellent route.
