|Contributor:||derekbudd||Activity Type:||Walking||Difficulty:||Easy||Distance:||8.413 mi (13.54 km)|
|Description:||This is a circular route from the Highfield Farm Campsite (www.highfieldfarmtouringpark.co.uk/index.html) via Hardwick Wood although it can be joined at any point.
The route is straightforward, well signposted and well kept with good views across open arable farmland.
Interesting ponts along the way include churches at Comberton and Toft, Views of theThe Mullard Radio Astronomy Observatory (www.mrao.cam.ac.uk/telescopes/index.html) Cambridge Meridian Golf Club (www.cambridgemeridiangolf.co.uk/) and Hardwick Wood www.hardwick-cambs.org.uk/history/read/hardwick_wood). As you return south from Hardwick towards Comberton there is a section of about 1km where the hedges either side of the footpath have grown over the top to form a leafy tunnel.
