|Description:||From Cardiff to the Brecon Beacons, the Taff Trail is a network of linking paths, alternative routes and circular walks with many sites and heritage to explore.
Just a short ride away and you're transported from cosmopolitan Cardiff to rural heaven. Cycle or walk eleven relatively gentle miles along the Taff corridor, to a land of crashing weirs rich with wildlife, impressive mountain backdrops and the picturesque Castell Coch perched on the mountainside.
This section of the Taff Trail finishes in Pontypridd, but if you are up for a challenge you can continue on to the Brecon Beacons, which is a total of 55 miles.

Accessibility: mainly traffic free and a mixture of tarmac and gravel
