|Trail:||Wolfscote Dale - Outdoor Photography|
|Contributor:||OutdoorPhotography||Activity Type:||Walking||Difficulty:||Average||Distance:||5.348 mi (8.608 km)|
|Description:||Starting on Beresford Lane, a mile or so south of Hartington this 5 1/2mile walk leads you through one of the more spectacular dales in the region. In certain places it is possible to scramble up the sides for a more dramatic view - but be careful of loose rocks underfoot. From Beresford Lane cross the river and journey south through Wolfscote Dale as far as Coldeaton Bridge, here turn right back over the river and up the hill. Continue southwest until joining the road to Alstonefield, keep right and exit the village heading north. Take the path, as the road bends left, between Gratton & Narrowdale Hills and follow back to Beresford Lane.
