TrailZilla Trail Guide  Walk the White to Dark way!

TrailZilla has teamed up with Country Walking Magazine to create a brand-new weekend White to Dark Long Distance Path - Peak District National Parkwalk celebrating the very best of the Peak District!

Celebrating the 25th birthday of Britain’s best-selling walking magazine, and perfect for a Bank Holiday, the White to Dark Way is a three-day walk from the White Peak to the Dark Peak.

It’s the first major walking trail dedicated to linking the Peak District’s two “halves”, across terrain ranging from meadows, woods and farmland to wild moorland and gritstone edges.

In the course of 27 marvellous miles you’ll go from Bakewell to Hope via dozens of unique landscapes, unmissable attractions and brilliant pubs.

Just some of the highlights include: MONSAL HEAD – CRESSBROOK DALE – LITTON – EYAM – BRETTON CLOUGH – HATHERSAGE – STANAGE EDGE – WIN HILL.

Everything you need for the trail is in the May issue of Country Walking, but you can download the three individual routecards, and the GPX data, here at TrailZilla.

To download the GPX file for your GPS or Smartphone:

1. Click the Info button or the Start pin on the map above

2. Click View Trail to print, View Extras to download PDFs or Download GPX to save the data to your GPS.

3. When prompted Login, or if you’re not yet a TrailZilla member register and login.

White to Dark waymarkers will be installed in July 2012 in conjunction with the Peak District National Park Authority, and 50,000 promotional leaflets will be distributed to tourist and visitor information centres in and around the area.

The trail is also supported by Visit Peak District and Hi-Tec
